Did you really expect usability guru Jakob Nielsen to advocate building a complex website? He just released a new study of teen web use revealing quite a couple misconceptions. The most interesting factoid in his report is that teenagers are not in fact superior Web geniuses, but averaged a ten percent lower success rate on common tasks than adult users. The study did agree with the common wisdom that teens pay more attentin to a site’s visual appearance than adult users do.
